A new community called Gateway Village across U.S. highway 24 from NorthRidge is being built on land owned by the owner of NorthRidge. Gateway Village is primarily an affordable housing development, with market-rate homesites and rent-controlled apartment, with work beginning in late 2024 and residences available in late 2025.
Access to these loops is a Lake County road, with a road marker 8 and an arrow pointing left, except the road to the loops is to the right. This is at the sign that says “Leadville 10,152”. Park immediately off the highway in the winter and at a larger parking area about ¼ mile from the highway in the summer.
